I'm 4, Take Me Out To The Ballgame!

We can't believe that you're fantastic, funny, fabulous four! You counted down the days all week until your special day. You were so excited that you received your new baseball bag with bats, balls and glove. We also found out you have somewhat of a cake addiction regardless if it has candles or not.

Soccer is a Real Kick in the Grass!

Especially when you're 3. There were a few tears the first game but Austin's "goal" is to play soccer and he seems to enjoy it more each game. It is so funny to watch these little tykes learn all the skills they need to play the game. From the time they can sit up we tell them catch the ball, throw the ball or roll the ball and now all of a sudden it's DON'T PICK UP THE BALL, DON'T TOUCH THE BALL! Talk about confusion! But they seem to be figuring it out.
Arms stretched out and tongue hanging out are definately for concentration!Hey Austin, Watch the hands, what's going on back there? What do you think about this new immigration bill? Yeah, I know? What is happening to our future? We have got to get control of these grownups! Keep your head in the game, Austin.Austin was so proud of his medal. Good sportsmanship, respect and listening pays off. Good Job Austin!

It's Not Easy Being A Princess!

Dakota was a flower girl in a wedding a few weeks ago and she was Little Miss Attitude with her white dress, satin shoes and pearls. She didn't want to take the dress off so we let her wear it for quite a while afterwards. Everything was roses until she climbed under the kitchen table and proceeded to thread herself through a chair and got stuck. She was wedged between 3 bars, we still can't figure out how she slithered through it, must have been that silky dress. Papa Mike had to try for about 10 minutes to get the Princess out because we couldn't stop laughing. Of course the camera is always nearby for just these type of situations.

Wild West In Style

One style that originated in the American Wild West is boots. Cowboys who worked on cattle ranches wore them in the 1800’s and they’re still called cowboy boots today. They are not limited to ranch hands anymore. Little girls everywhere are now making their own fashion statements. If Dakota knows she is going to visit the Lazy S she immediately puts on her boots. They are the cutest little, worn out, manure stompin, horse apple kickin, pony-riden, pasture-ized boots you ever saw. She’ll need a new pair before long and it will probably be hard for her to give up the pair that is already broken in.

Easter 2010

Easter egg hunting is competitive in this family. The coveted Golden Egg still remains the goal for these young hunters and this year's hunt was limited to 10 and under due to the fierce nature of the competitors.

Look at the loot.

We could tell Ryker wasn't himself during the hunt and two hours later he's in the ER with IVs, breathing treatments, strep throat, ear infections and tonsillitis. Poor boy!

The weather was so nice, even Sancho our tortoise came out to join in the competition.

Hailey wins the Golden Egg this year. She was excited for the financial reward and the extra chocolate. She looks pretty proud of herself!

Then it was on to the ugly face contest. Two of our winners.

This is what can happen when a young boy eats a whole lot of Easter candy all at one time. Candy intoxication. (CI). This shows him coming down from the sugar high. Pace yourself Nathan, pace yourself.

34th Annual Parade

The Ahwatukee 34th Annual Easter Parade was held the Saturday before Easter. It was hard to believe that we had been going to this community activity for almost 30 years. Families come out and line the streets with their kids and dogs to watch. There is always lots of local celebrities and media on hand. Mike and I remember taking the kids when they were young and now we are taking the grandkids. Boy, how time flys! Easter Bunny (Girl) this year! First time I have seen the Bunny in a pink skirt.

And who ever said you can't still be a cheerleader when you're 80?

Look at these HOT MAMAS! I know they get more exercise than I do.

The marching band from the school where Kendra teaches
Ryker and Dakota were not too sure about this Bunny business. They didn't even want to get close, they just wanted the candy. Little Candy Junkies!

Our Pink Warrior

Hailey has definitely improved her game of soccer. At this game she was so proud of herself because she made a goal for her Papa. The girls decided at the beginning of the season to name their team The Pink Warriors because one of the team moms is fighting breast cancer. It is so awesome to see how much these girls are aware of the disease and that they are fighting in spirit for this mom. Women and Girls Unite!!!!!!!! We CAN find a cure in their lifetime!!!!!
