A Family Filled Weekend

We started the weekend with a Birthday Celebration for Seth. Family and friends joined him at one of his favorite restaurants.
Mikey decides to see if blondes really do have more fun. I could tell him otherwise.
Arizona hardly ever sees freezing weather, but it did last week. Down to 18 degrees at the Ranch.  We all know water pipes and cold don't mix so a few repairs had to be made when the freeze was over. Luckily it was just a few.
I always love to watch how the older one has to give the younger one advice.  I guess the years come with experience and wisdom, so young people - start listening to your elders!
Arizona plants aren't ready for the cold either. If you want to save them you have to give them blankies.  We covered all the citrus trees because they are the most vulnerable. They stayed nice and snuggly in their blankies until the freeze passed. Those burlap blankies are sold in home depots and aren't cheap but Mike lucked out a few years ago with a landscaper selling all of his blankets really cheap on Craigslist. We buy junk like that knowing it will come in handy one day.
The weekend ended with a visit from California Cousins. We had a great time with the Russo's. Now it's time to start another week!  Have a great one!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to You and Yours!

We actually made it to midnight and toasted to another year of good times, good people, and good fun.

I also have to share one of my favorite holiday pictures.  It shows the fun and the love that my kids share. I am sure 2013 holds changes and challenges but I know we are in good hands. Stay tuned for more adventures in the Jones Family.
