Fourth of July

It's Independence Day, the day we celebrate our freedom, enjoy delicious food with family and friends, and express our latent pyromania by blowing up the skies. Yes, it was a little hot. Record heat of 118 degrees the day before, but it's a dry heat. It sure didn't stop the fun. Charlie dressed up for the occasion and got plenty of playtime with all the Grandkids.

Don't you even think about hitting the photographer!

Mike and Len try out the new theatre room while Chef Menezes begins to prepare the feast.

Would you just look at those ribs.

The Grandkid gang sure loves to play together.

What do you mean fireworks are illegal in the City of Phoenix. They just sold us like $1000 worth of them on the corner.

Hailey became the cotton candy and snow cone queen of the night. She could hardly keep up with the orders.

We had a great view of the Ahwatukee Fireworks Show. After that we put on our own pyro show.

By the end of the night, Mamie was still ready to party, but Charlie looked a little warn out.

Sangria Slumber.

The family the plays together, stays together.

Talk about family skeletons in the closet, we try to keep these locked up as much as possible.

They say that you can't choose your childhood memories, they are just random thoughts of your experiences, good or bad. I hope this one turns into one that the kids will remember.
