Weed 'em and Reap

These darn nuisance bushes pop up every year and over take the pasture. Mike and Chuck spent several weekends cutting and pouring on their magic potion of destruction.
Then there was those crazy trips to the dump. Now that's a place you don't want to visit very often. Even the word "dump" sounds disgusting.

With a lot of hard work and magic juice, it went from that to this.   The horses said to say thank you very much! We have our pasture back.

Tramp Whispers

A few weeks back, Len and Dan yell ROAD TRIP! And we’re off to Jerome, Arizona. Half the fun is just getting there.
It is considered one of the largest ghost towns in America.  It’s a town that sits above what use to be the largest copper mine in Arizona and it is built into the side of the mountain like stairsteps.
Everyone knows that every mining town has to have a brothel and it’s in this former brothel that Mike had his paranormal experience.

No, it couldn’t be an experience in one of the beautifully restored Victorian homes on the hillside.
Of course not, it had to be some old tramp calling out to him in the "House of Joy".  Ghosts from tramps past!
All that excitement and dirty ghost talk made us hungry for the best pies in the state, so we had to make a stop at Rock Springs and take one for the road. They have some good pies, but nothing like Mamie's apple pies.

Father's Day

A truly rich man is one whose children run into his arms when his hands are empty.

We celebrated Father's Day at our favorite steakhouse. It was a great day to remember all the father's we know. Diamondback tickets and a year supply of Wrangler jeans and this Dad is set.

Re•liev•ing

verb, re·lieved, re·liev·ing.

verb (used with object)

1.   to ease or alleviate (pain, distress, anxiety, need, etc.).
2.   to free from anxiety, fear, pain, etc.
3.   to reduce (a pressure, load, weight on a device or object under stress).
4.   to reduce the pressure to a desirable level.

As I pressed the enter button on the computer for my last graduate school assignment, Casey said to me “that must be so relieving”.  He hit the nail on the head with that comment. It could not be more true. Two years, 125 practicum hours, and a 120 page portfolio finally finished.  YES, I would say that is Relieving!

Brian also just finished graduate school.  That kid has been going to school since he started preschool at 3 years old. He’s a great example to his two children. I am sure he felt “relieving” too.
